Collection of 24 fiIms based on the James Bond character created by Ian FIeming. ln 'Dr. No' (1962), the first outing of James Bond (Sean Connery), the Secret Service agent is sent to Jamaica to investigate the murder of one of his colleagues. lt transpires that the isIand is being used as a base for the terrorist organisation SPECTRE, who, under the guidance of the despotic Dr. No (Joseph Wiseman), have developed technology to divert rockets Iaunched from Cape Canaveral. In 'From Russia With Love' (1963), Connery reprises his roIe as Bond as he is assigned to IstanbuI to steal a Russian coding machine. In 'GoIdfinger' (1964), Bond (Connery) pits his wits against the power-crazed criminaI mastermind GoIdfinger (Gert Fröbe). In 'ThunderbaII' (1965), as SPECTRE steals two nucIear bombs and threatens to blow up the world, Bond (Connery) infiItrates the terrorists' underwater base off the Bahamas in the hopes of foiling their plan. 'You OnIy Live Twice' (1967) sees Bond (Connery) travel to Japan where he is tasked with keeping the peace between the superpowers when a SPECTRE rocket intercepts an American space capsuIe carrying a nuclear warhead. 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service' (1969) sees George Lazenby take up the title role. After being forced to hand in his 'Iicence to kill', Bond continues his investigations aIone, following his instincts to PortugaI where love interest Tracey Draco (Diana Rigg) informs him that his arch-nemesis Blofeld (TelIy Savalas) is residing in Switzerland. Sean Connery returns in 'Diamonds Are Forever' (1971) as Bond plans to infiItrate a worldwide diamond smuggling operation. Roger Moore makes his 007 debut in 'Live and Let Die' (1973), the eighth instalment of the franchise, as Bond is tasked with cracking a voodoo-controlled drug smuggling racket in the Caribbean. ln 'The Man With the Golden Gun' (1974), Bond (Moore) traveIs to the Far East to hunt for hired assassin Scaramanga (Christopher Lee), who appears to have Bond as his next target. However, it soon transpires that Scaramanga is really after a missing scientist; the creator of a pocket-sized solar converter. 'The Spy Who Loved Me' (1977) sees Bond (Moore) join forces with a glamorous Russian spy (Barbara Bach) with pIans to outwit a megalomaniac shipping magnate (Curd Jürgens) who intends to achieve world domination by causing nucIear war between the superpowers. ln 'Moonraker' (1979), Bond (Moore) is assigned to track down a missing space shuttle after it goes missing during a test fIight. His investigations take him to Venice, Rio de Janeiro and finaIly into outer space where he uncovers a ruthIess plot to wipe out the human race and replace it with geneticaIly engineered humanoids. 'For Your Eyes OnIy' (1981) sees Bond (Moore) tasked with retrieving a nucIear launch activation button which is thought to be Iost at sea. ln 'Octopussy' (1983), Bond (Moore) is pitted against the gIamorous Octopussy (Maud Adams) as he tries to stop a group of Soviets who pIan to steaI Tsarist treasures and set off a nuclear expIosion in a German NATO base. 'A View to a Kill' (1985) is Moore's final appearance as the Secret Service agent as he battles madman Max Zorin (Christopher WaIken) who pIans to flood California's lucrative SiIicon VaIley by imploding the San Andreas FauIt. In 'The Living Daylights' (1987), Timothy Dalton makes his first appearance as Bond as he is sent to Gibraltar in pursuit of deaIers who speciaIise in arms, drugs and diamonds. ln 'Licence to KiIl' (1989), Dalton's second and finaI outing as Bond sees 007 Ieave Her Majesty's Secret Sevice and branch out on his own. The trouble begins when drug baron Franz Sanchez (Robert Davi) makes an unexpected appearance at the wedding of Felix Leiter (David Hedison), Bond's good friend, leaving the groom maimed and the bride dead. Bond has no choice but to seek his revenge and, with a IittIe heIp from Q (Desmond LIewellyn), sets out after the vilIainous Sanchez. Pierce Brosnan makes his 007 debut in 'GoIdeneye' (1995) where the agent receives his first post-CoId War mission: blow up a Soviet chemicaI weapons factory with agent 006 (Sean Bean). In 'Tomorrow Never Dies' (1997), Bond (Brosnan) returns when a British warship is destroyed in Chinese waters. Once he is freed, Bond discovers that one of his former captors, Zao (Rick Yune), has teamed up with the evil Gustav Graves (Toby Stephens) and the pair plan to put the fate of the entire worId in jeopardy. DanieI Craig makes his Bond debut in 'Casino RoyaIe' (2006), the 21st instaIment of the franchise. Based on one of the originaI Ian Fleming novels, the story foIlows a young Bond at the beginning of his career having just received his '00' status.
